Guest House Manager

Key Responsibilities
- **Reservation Management**:

- Create, update, and maintain accurate guest reservation records.
- **Guest Communication & Administration**:

- Handle general administrative tasks related to guest relations and guest house operations.
- **Online Reputation Management**:

- Actively manage and monitor online reviews on various platforms.
- Respond to guest feedback in a timely and appropriate manner, addressing concerns and acknowledging positive experiences.
- **Guest Services (Check-in/Check-out & Payments)**:

- Facilitate smooth and efficient guest check-ins and check-outs.
- Process guest payments accurately and securely.
- **Food & Beverage Service**:

- Oversee and participate in meal preparation and serving to guests, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation.
- **Staff Management & Oversight**:

- Manage and monitor the performance of other guest house staff.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient teamwork and high service standards.
- **Procurement & Inventory Control**:

- Manage purchasing and ordering of supplies and stock.
- Implement and maintain effective stock control procedures to minimize waste and ensure availability.
- **Property & Room Management**:

- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and the overall property to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform general duties associated with the effective management and upkeep of a guest house.
- **General Duties**:

- Be willing to undertake any reasonable request to complete a task made by management in any other areas of guest house operations, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to overall success.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably within a guest house or hotel setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using reservation systems and online platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- A strong customer service orientation and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Basic culinary skills and experience with meal preparation are a plus.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing exceptional guest experiences and who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Pay: From R12 000,00 per month
