Assistant Director: Records Management, Ref No. Cas 28/2025

**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide records management and registry services, including electronic content management systems.
**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
**Recommendation**:
None.
**Key Performance Areas**:
Develop and maintain departmental physical records system; Provide a registry service; Develop and maintain electronic content; People management; It will be advantageous to have experience in ICT Governance.
**Competencies**:
**Knowledge of the following**:Public Service legislation, including POPI, PAIA and PAJA; Records Management Systems; Electronic Content Management; Policies and prescripts related to records and knowledge management; Western Cape ICT Governance Charter; Written and verbal communication skills.
**Remuneration**:
**R 468 459 - R 561 894 per annum (Salary level 9)**
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
