**Introduction**

The Software Development Manager will be responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership to the Technology Team. This role serves both the customer (Real Estate industry) and consumers (the people who use our platform every day). This role will be responsible for managing the software development requirements from stakeholder groups within the business - providing oversight to coding software developers.

- This role will need to successfully oversee and co-ordinate the people, resources and processes required to deliver new software or upgrade in either the B2B or B2C segments, i.e. project manage, coordinate, guide and lead the work of the team.

**What will you do**:
Strategy Development and Execution
- Assesses business process, requirements and needs
- Develop and execute on the strategy plan - on time and in full
- Provide direction to team members based on needs
- Provide “Customer Focused” solutions to end-user specific problems and queries
- Facilitate the defining of required updates while recording systems produced as an outcome of business requirements

Project Prioritisation and Management
- Collaborates on product design to ensure successful implementation at a business level
- Implement and manage lifecycle planning and coordination of IT projects
- Operational team and individual planning
- Communication of project status with contingency plans for scope creep

Create processes and protocols for software
- Develop and oversee protocols and procedures for software usage
- Training and support to different user groups
- Develop and record in the form of user manuals, new software processes
- Planning and designing
- Developing and testing
- Deployment and support
- Project Management, collaboration and communication

**What you **n**eed to **succeed**:

- Minimum Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Technology field with a proven track record of leading teams
- Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions
- Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics
- Must also be familiar with a variety of programming languages, codes and processes
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in an e-commerce environment highly advantageous
