Main Purpose of the Position: To implement and maintain visual presentation standards of the store in line with Brand Standards. As this is a store based role, customers must remain first priority when completing tasks to ensure the Coricraft philosophy is upheld at all times. The In-Store Visual Merchandiser is also responsible for embodying the Brand Values consistently, as a leader within the store team. Key Responsibility Areas: Key responsibilities for instore visual merchandising:
- Ensure a high standard of visual merchandising in store, which is in line with the brand vision and identity.
- Maintain visual merchandising consistency in store.
- Elevate, adapt and implement visual merchandising guidelines, including but not limited to window presentations and in-store displays.
- Execute seasonal floor plans in store, ensuring all in-store settings are displayed appropriately.
- Ensure the implementation of VM direction, including VM actions, promotions and replenishments in line with the company standards within the specified time frames.
- Ensure new product is appropriately placed in the relevant setting as soon as received.
- Exercise a high level of consideration when substituting products outlined in the brief in consultation with the VM area manager.
- Make commercial decisions regarding stock placement of new lines in consultation with the VM area manager and VM regional manager.
- Resolve store-specific merchandising opportunities that require adaptations based on store architecture, inventory levels, and business trends.
- Demonstrate a strong working relationship with the VM and retail team.
- Contribute to maintaining all brand and operating standards to support brand consistency.
- Ensure a stimulating environment that enhances the customer store experience and promotes brand consistency, according to the brand strategy.
- Consistently ensure high standards of personal presentation.
- Effectively communicate store needs to VM manager including but not limited to hardware, fixtures, store maintenance, props and signage.
- Ensure visual merchandising briefs, windows, POS and store layouts are maintained at all times.
- Maintaining merchandising and housekeeping standards in store to reflect the Brands standards.
- Ensure relevant VM tools and materials are consistently maintained.
- Self-awareness and professionalism, to be objective about own performance and actively seek advice and feedback from Management team.
- Provide exceptional customer service in order to reach and exceed sales budgets.
- Ensure awareness of daily, weekly and monthly sales targets and achievements.
- Effectively communicate with Management team proactively pre-empt opportunities to maximise sales and minimise store costs.
Ensure store policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Maintain effective stock management, back of house, dispatch and receiving of stock, appropriate housing of reserve and replenishment.
- Ensure replenishment is actioned with a sense of urgency to ensure all product is represented on the sales floor.
- Awareness of loss prevention measures, including the accurate receipt and dispatch of stock.
- Work with Management team to identify, report and follow up on store maintenance issues to uphold the brand and experience of the customer. Key responsibilities for stock controlling:Ensure stock received balances to the SCT documentationEnsure stock dispatched balances to the SCT / Invoice documentationWeekly sectional counts to be done to confirm the physical quantities to computer saved quantities.Prepare weekly stock adjustment listings generated from the variances of the weekly sectional counts and hand to showroom manager.Prepare weekly bargain box listing and hand to showroom managerReview and print inventory movements dailyReview and print outstanding goods in transit dailyReview and action SCT’s outstanding or incompleteReview and action GIT receiving dailyReview and action GIT exception report dailyPrint and review stock ship report. Allocated stock with confirmed orders. Twice weekly. Experience and competencies required:
- Matric
- 2 years’ retail experience in a Furniture/ linen/ Homeware environment
