Sonographer

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Utilising imaging equipment and soundwaves to generate images (ultrasounds) of different body regions

Deliver imaging of diagnostic quality

Experience in ultra sonography (obstetric not required), including breast ultrasound

Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations

Ensuring accurate imaging and excellent patient care

Will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic insights that support effective patient treatment

Supervise ultrasound students when applicable

Report to Head of Department

**Qualifications**

Grade 12

National Diploma / B.Sc (Diagnostic Ultrasound / Radiology)

Minimum 4 - 7 years of relevant experience as an Ultra Sonographer

Confirmation of Registration with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) Relevant Qualification Certificate

Professional Indemnity - Certificate of Medical Membership (South African Medical Association (SAMA)

Previous experience in a similar position in the medical industry would be a distinct advantage

Willing to work after hours and weekends to accommodate shift staff

Compliance with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes as required by HPCSA
