**ABOUT THE ROLE**: Brand Hubb requires a competent, dynamic, systematic and thorough Financial Controller. This is an exciting opportunity as Brand Hubb is expanding its operations and sales footprint, as well as implementing more robust systems and controls.
- **Financial Control**:_

As the Financial Controller, you are expected to:
1. Implement, document and oversee business processes and internal controls relating to the finance function;
2. Ensure that all financial transactions are property recorded, filed and reported;
3. Produce accurate documents, forms and reports, as required by the business (e.g., requisitions, orders, invoices, reimbursements, summaries, etc.);
4. Monitor expenses against set budgets and produce various reports;
5. Assist in controlling inventory, some logistics, pay gates and accounts payable;
6. Assist the General Manager and CEO by generating monthly management accounts, reports and other outputs required;
7. Maintain relationships with suppliers, research most cost effective solutions, check invoices and issue payment requisitions for all expenses; and

8. Perform any other duty reasonable requested in the pursuit of the financial success of Brand Hubb.

**SKILLS & ABILITIES**: To be successful in this role, the following are critical:

- Ensuring accurate and timely financial outputs ;
- Systematic thinking and procedural approach to all things;
- Attention to detail and zero tolerance for errors;
- Competent understanding of financial concepts and internal controls, especially relating to the retail environment, e-commerce, inventory and warehousing;
- Analytical skills and the ability to dissect data;
- Problem solving abilities and solution-orientated attitude;
- Communication skills, especially with multiple stakeholders and a very fast-paced work environment;
- Technology proficiency and using systems and software to improve efficiency and effectiveness;
- Proactivity, responsiveness and the ability to anticipate and respond to problems and challenges before they become crises.

1. Transaction recording in accounting packages, especially Sage

**EDUCATION**:

- **Required**:_
- A tertiary-level degree or diploma in the area of accounting, costing or financial management.
- **Advantageous**:_
- Certificates relating to proficiency in Sage, Excel or any other finance-related software.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
