Position title : OHS ADVISOR
Position reports to : GROUP QHSE MANAGER
Business Unit : FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
**Main purpose / objective of the position**:
**Role Objectives \ Responsibilities**:
This position has the authority to:
- Identify and report non-conformances, unsafe acts and conditions to relevant management.
- Investigate OHS concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Stop any activity that is deemed unsafe, or have the potential to harm the environment or result in serious property damage.
- Take remedial actions and/or advice operational staff, including suppliers and management on OHS issues
- Implement best practices to continuously improve OHS function.
**Experience / Education**
- National Diploma is Safety Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5-years relevant experience: implementation, maintenance and auditing of OHS management systems
- Extensive knowledge of the Application of the National Building Regulations, Fire Protection
- Hazard identification & risk assessments, Permit to work, Control of Works and Incident investigation certifications.
**Skills Required**:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good technical report writing and presentation skills
- Co-ordination and organizing
**Knowledge Required**

- Team Leadership, Customer & Quality focus, Methodical, Problem solving & Decision making, Communication; Tolerance for Stress.
**Major Drivers of Work Volume**
- Complexity of SLA’s; Geographical spread of managed facilities, complexity of client retail facilities, tenant and/or customer profile.
**Interface / Relationships With**
Internal: Group QHSE, Local management and teams, facilities contractors
External: Client, Local authorities, Landlords, Owners,
