Marsh Africa is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Marine Manager with a strong background in Marine Insurance to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Marine Manager, you will be responsible for providing business growth, and ensuring successful renewal of insurance contracts.

**We will count on you to**:

- Provide leadership that reflects a strong client and colleague focus, delivering best-in-class services that benefit our clients.
- Develop and grow income and business nationally, with a focus on Marine Insurance.
- Manage insurer binder facilities, including renewals, risk profiling, and claims authorization.
- Ensure service delivery to clients, ensuring successful renewal of insurance contracts.
- Support technical, claims, and service delivery teams, ensuring implementation of quality management systems.
- Prepare budgets for the client servicing team, prioritizing client profitability.
- Stay updated with local and overseas insurance markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal business units.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Market all products and services available within Marsh Africa to clients.

**What you need to have**:

- 10-15 years of experience in short-term insurance, with a preference for Marine Insurance experience.
- Fluent in English.
- University degree in LLB, B.Com, or a related field.
- Expertise in Marine insurance and knowledge of the shipping and freight industries.
- Ability to analyze and interpret contracts in the supply chain.
- Familiarity with the FAIS Act and other legislation/Acts governing the short-term insurance industry.
