Trailer technician by knowledge and experience with at least 5-year experience.
- Focus on details and quality of work on trailers.
- Own transport essential.
- Code EC with PDP license preferable.
- Must be able to weld on trailers and welders will be preference.
- Mechanical and air related experience on mechanical and air suspension included wewler suspensions.
- Mechanical experience on BPW Eco, Eco + and Eco2 and Hendred axles.
- Own tools essentials.
- Two contactable references and clear criminal record.
- Must have grade 12.
- Valid driver EB license.
- Own transport essential.

**Skills and Knowledge**:

- Must have the ability to do maintenance and repairs to side loader, Interlink and dry freight semi-trailers. As per manufacture service and maintenance recommendation and torque settings.
- Ensure trailer is roadworthy at all times and in a good working condition.
- Ensure high quality of workmanship at all times.
- Do brake test after all brake overhauls.
- Check and inspection on all cross beams and floors with entry plates.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be prepared to work to predetermined goals and objectives.
- Must be prepared to work shifts, public holidays and weekends.
- Must be able to logical thinking and out of the box.
- Attention to details.
- Knowledge of mechanical and air suspension including wewler suspension.
- Ability to work safe.
- Repair and rewiring of ABS wiring. Lock rings and sensors.
- Must be able to do and attend to breakdowns.
- Ensure the following minimum aspects is maintained and report on:

- Tyre inspection and pressures.
- Check and report on wheel bearings.
- Check and report on brake linings and wear.
- Check and report on chassis cracks.
- Check and report on suspension and rocker arms and bushes.
- Check and report on all lights, interior and marker lights.
- Condition report on side protection bars.
- Repairs and replacement of ABS wiring and sensors.
- Check and report on all air pipes and couplings.
- Condition report on load boxes and floors.
- Condition report on the overhaul on the trailer and company branding.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
