Drm Process and Information Specialist

**Purpose of the job**:
To provide reporting and route management optimization services to the bakery sales and transport teams in order to optimize sales routes, minimise cost to serve and identify areas for sales growth for their area of responsibility.

**What will you do**:
To support fact based decision making by ensuring accurate and on time DRM reporting through:

- Timely maintenance and updates of the data base
- Resolving all data and product related inquiries in real-time to support business and technical teams
- Analytical techniques to produce customer and service trends and insights
- Generate graphs from data to visualize trends and opportunities
- Producing management reports on the above

Implementing and supporting the data quality management processes as needed including metadata, lineage, and business definitions, for their area of responsibility as per schedule correct debrief reporting in line with group KPI’s by:

- Ensuring all vehicles are being monitored and measured correctly by consolidating and comparing all DRM systems (internal and external)
- Coaching the site debriefers to understand and use the reporting correctly in managing driver performance and optimize customer service levels
- Ad hoc review of site actions relating to the reported risks/opportunities that seems unchanged

To support effective route to market excellence for existing routes in bakery sales by:

- Identifying low performing routes and advising sites on required actions
- Identifying obstacles preventing teams to reach their targets
- Identify opportunities to optimize routes
- Assist with second rounds planning and execution on DRM

To support effective route to market excellence for new delivery areas in bakery sales by:

- Analysing data from the Walk the streets app and comparing it to our existing customer data base to identify areas with potential growth
- Use unscheduled stops to identify new customers being serviced
- Monitor impact on customer service levels post addition of new customers (3 months in line with agreed customer window)
- Identify optimization opportunities to reduce Km’s and ensure quality customer service levels
- Identify customers being serviced more than once and provide action plans to prevent this occurrence
- Monitor Customer turnaround times
- Identify populated areas without our distribution footprint

To enable site stakeholders to ensure route to market compliance by providing training and coaching on:

- The DRM related SOPs, standards and guidelines
- Understanding and utilizing Garmin’s GPX files and how to import and export them as needed
- Route riding process for plotting of route customers
- Advising on best practises in the group and rolling it out with the relevant stakeholders

Support business process continuity by develop and maintaining internal and external relationship stakeholders relationships through:

- Facilitating weekly Invocoms with relevant sites to measure and improve on DRM KPI’s
- Adhoc Invocoms to enable teams on any changes
- Monitoring service level agreements

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Diploma/ Degree in Supply Chain Management

**Experience Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- 2-3 Years Experience in FMCG industry
- 3-5 Years Route Monitoring and planning role
