**Job Purpose** To enhance the efficiency of Premier Bakeries route to market and delivery system. Analyzing various data points to determine the best optimal route for vehicles, ensuring mínimal travel time, reduce fuel cost, and improve delivery schedules for Bakeries RTM(Premier OWN Routes and 3rd party routes). **Key Responsibilities** - Optimize routes for efficiency and cost saving, improve customer service through timely and accurate deliveries in line with group KPI’s - Facilitate the process of using actual route information from DRM to re-calibrate customer set-up times and locations to minimize travel time, distance and fuel consumption - Perform “center of gravity” techniques to determine optimal location for centralized facility such as new distribution center, bakery depot or SDC - Present territory plans in graphical format using mapping functions to determine overlaps between sites and route clusters. - Data management by enabling data driven decisions by managing the optimization database and parameters for best performance - Collect and analyze data and identify areas for improvement in delivery process - Improving resource allocation by effectively deploying vehicles and drivers - Managing dynamic changes by adjusting routes in real time - Improve route viability by collaborating with RTM specialist to identify under performing and underutilized routes. - Using route planning software to determine best RTM to increase profitability and capacity utilization on routes. - Business intelligence by preparing dashboards and analyzing route information using Power BI (single source of truth) - Provide data insight and analyses to assist the business to make informed decisions - Continuous improvement & Training by ensuring that all cost saving initiatives executed are logged as CIP - Delivering improvement activities to drive the business forward (do things better and faster) - Managing basic and strategic optimization training for RTM team **Qualification Requirements**: - Matric or equivalent qualification (Essential) - Diploma/ Degree in Sales, Marketing or Supply Chain (Essential) **Experience Requirements**: - Experience in FMCG industry >5 years (Essential) - Route Monitoring role 2-3 years (Essential) - Route planning software 2-3 years (Essential) **Key Outputs**: **Skills & Competencies** - Database quality management principles - Process management controls - Visual representation of data trends - Route optimization principles - Data Analytical skills - Advanced Excel - Route plotting and planning - Report writing skills - Training and facilitation skills - MS office
