We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Specialist and Public Relations to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for creating engaging content for various social media platforms to drive brand awareness, managing our public image and building relationships. Your combined expertise in marketing, will play a crucial role in shaping our online presence and connecting with our target audience.

**Qualification**:Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field preferred.

**Experience**:

- Experience in marketing, content creation, social media management and public relations.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), video editing software and PR measurement tools.
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinking and a passion for storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A Digital Marketing understanding including Paid Advertising, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and Analytics
- Years of Public Relations experience
- Customer Service experience

**Responsibilities**:
**Social Media Specialist**

Content Creation:

- Develop high-quality, visually appealing, and relevant content for social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and LinkedIn.
- Craft captivating captions, stories, and descriptions that resonate with our audience.

Visual Design:

- Create eye-catching graphics, images, videos, and animations to enhance social media posts.
- Ensure all visual content aligns with our brand identity and guidelines.

Strategy and Planning:

- Manage both short-term and long-term social media content calendars and strategies
- Research industry trends and competitor activities to inform content planning.
- Create and propose content that will increase engagement and reach new audiences.

Engagement and Interaction:

- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions, and respond promptly.
- Foster community engagement by interacting with followers, conducting polls, and running contests.

Analytics and Reporting:

- Use analytics tools to track the performance of social media content and campaigns.
- Provide regular reports and insights to measure the effectiveness of content and make data-driven improvements.

Stay Updated:

- Stay current with social media trends, algorithms, and emerging platforms to keep our content strategy innovative and effective.

Marketing material development
- Edit and create marketing material for use in promoting the Villioti Fashion Institute.

**Public Relations**
- Develop and maintain relationships with businesses and investors relevant to the education and fashion industry.
- Attend events to build relationships,
- Plan and coordinate both internal and external company events.
- Handle contracts, agreements, briefs and communications with suppliers.
- Monitor media coverage to evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
- Ensure consistent and on-brand messaging across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging with overall business goals.
- Develop and implement risk communication plans to address potential issues and protect the company's reputation.
