Technical Analyst: Connectivity

As the Technical Analyst: Connectivity, you will play a key role in supporting the Connectivity Manager with the technical integration and the onboarding of the cash visibility module for new clients. Additionally, you will also ensure that all other data connections for the integration of Payments, FX Rates, FX Trades, Interest rates, and other related treasury activities are implemented according to the Implementation Blueprint and Project Plan.

This function includes liaising and coordinating with clients, banks and internal teams to ensure that data is transmitted accurately, securely and consistently via the agreed channels (e.g.: SFTP, SWIFT, API). Your blend of technical integration expertise, project coordination skills and exceptional communication abilities will be instrumental to your success within this role.

Connectivity Set-up
- Assist clients with establishing connectivity with banks, third parties, and the TMS system to enable the automated exchange of data files (e.g., bank statements, payment files and various other financial data)
- Ensure and verify that all bank accounts within project scope are fully connected and integrated correctly into the applicable TMS system
- Understand and manage multiple data transmission mechanisms (SFTP, SWIFT, API)
- Liaise with internal role-players (TMS IT, TMS Support, PMO and Implementation) to ensure technical readiness and alignment with project scope and timelines
- Schedule and facilitate client and bank kick-off meetings to confirm scope, timelines and responsibilities
- Follow up with the various role-players during the implementation phase to ensure that project timelines and deliverables remain on track

Project Coordination and Tracking
- Maintain detailed task tracking and project updates in Smartsheet or other project management tools
- Ensure that project updates are accurate, clear, concise and up to date at all times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines
- Participate in internal and client meetings to report on progress and next steps

Stakeholder Communication
- Serve a key point of contact between clients, banks and internal stakeholders regarding connectivity-related matters
- Communicate proactively to ensure issues are addressed and timelines are met
- Escalate potential risks or delays to the Connectivity Manager promptly
- Contribute to process improvements for enhanced client experience

Reporting and Documentation
- Ensure that all documentation is stored and filed correctly on shared drive
- Provide accurate project status and milestone information for billing purposes when required
- Assist with monthly reporting where applicable
- Participate in ad-hoc connectivity-related projects

Treasury and Implementation Processes Knowledge
- Maintain a broad understanding of Treasury processes (Cash Management, FX, Payments, Liquidity) and how they interact with system connectivity
- Possess a basic understanding of Treasury Management Systems capabilities and integration points

Process Enhancements and Compliance
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve onboarding and connectivity processes
- Adhere to TreasuryONE’s policies, as well as Compliance Policies and Procedures (POPIA, etc.)

**Education**
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in technical integration, banking connectivity or treasury environment
- Experience working with Treasury Management Systems, financial institutions or payment platforms will be advantageous
- Familiarity with data security and compliance frameworks (e.g. POPIA, etc.) - Exposure to XML, CVS, SWIFT or similar file formats will be beneficial Work Environment
- The role is primarily office-based, with moderate noise levels
- Occasional travel to client offices or bank meetings may be required

**Technical Skills**
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Working knowledge of system integration protocols (SFTP, SWIFT, API)
- A general understanding of finance and treasury processes
