**Purpose of Role**:
Reporting to the Group Financial Manager of Allan and Gill Gray Philanthropy Africa (Philanthropy Africa), the **Financial Analyst** is responsible for reporting and tracking financial results, analysing financial performance, creating long term forecasts and providing financial reports and insights to support senior management to make tactical and strategic decisions.

**Objectives of Role**:
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible to perform the following for the group:

- Assist with the statutory audit by preparing the related Group financial statements, consolidation and liaising with the external audit team
- Analysing current and past financial data and performance
- Reviewing current financial performance and identifying trends
- Preparing reports on the above information and communicating the insights of these reports
- Consulting with various stakeholders to support the development of long-term plans, budgets and reporting frameworks
- Suggesting interventions and improvements based on the above information
- Developing and maintaining financial models and providing financial forecasts
- Support the development of initiatives and policies that may improve financial effectiveness
- Lead and support Group projects
- Provide financial review due diligence in support of grant making and other ad hoc decisions.

**Outcomes**
- Timely and relevant financial and management reporting to aid effective decision making.
- Efficient and effective use of resources to support sustainability of the entities.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) Preferred
- At least 3-5 years of business finance or other relevant experience
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
- Strong data gathering skills and other data query/data management/ visualisation tools is beneficial
