Project Manager

The Project Manager is a master obstacle remover, streamliner and juggler who assists programme managers with orchestrating all project activities. Not only detail and structure obsessed, but they are also delivery focused, ensuring client and internal business stakeholders are updated frequently with delivery and budget status, risks and mitigation as well as opportunities. In a client facing capacity, they drive delivery comms, in an internal team capacity, they motivate talent, with quality and on time output. They play a crucial role in ensuring that projects run smoothly, are delivered within budget, reports are up to date and communicated, and that work goes out without a hitch.
**Responsibilities**:
At Project initiation a Lucky Beard Project Manager is able to;
- Identify and define project requirements, understanding scope and objectives.
- Complete project delivery estimations and costs.
- Plan a project and create a project delivery timeline.
- Write a project contract (SoW/Work Order).
- Be able to define a cadence or way of working that suites the nature of the client and project.
Upon approval to commence a project, the Lucky Beard Project Manager is able to;
- Plan and manage team goals, ensuring teams are briefed on time and are fully enabled to perform required tasks when planned and with success.
- Manage project schedules, ensuring project delivery is tracking according to plan.
- Manage task assignment to internal Talent, ensuring balanced capacity and schedules are tightly managed.
Upon project completion of a project, the Lucky Beard Project Manager will;
- Work with Finance to initiate invoicing and closure of a project.
- Initiate and facilitate relevant project retrospectives, ensuring future deliverables, ways of working and quality of work improve more each time.
Achieve project success by means of ensuring that all projects are;
- Completed on time, as agreed with the client.
- Within the agreed and signed off client budget.
- Delivered with high quality standards, achieving maximum pride for the internal teams, and client satisfaction with the final product and service received.
Through the delivery cycle, be able to;
- Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary
- Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches with a view to proactively propose solutions.
- Co-ordinate all team members to keep workflow on track.
- Plan and manage team goals through workflow, ensuring teams are briefed intime and fully enabled to perform required tsks when planned and with success.
- Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
Communication is everything, the Lucky Beard Project Manager will be required to;
- Complete and share weekly to fortnightly project delivery and budget tracking reports. To be able to report and provide status to both client and internal stakeholders.
The Lucky Beard Project Manager is obsessed with Structure, ensuring
- Project-related paperwork and documentation is in place using defined templates, and which is current and correctly filed per Lucky Beard global standards.
- All project information is up to date and current in the Project and business ops tool (Forecast) to enable wider business reporting.
Under the direction and guidance of the Programme manager:
- Ensuring global standards are adhered to.
- Collaborating closely to seek new and better ways of doing things.
**Skills & experience Required**:
- Professional certification in Project Management or other relevant degree
- 3+ years project management experience
- Agile delivery experience
- Experience in working in a management consultancy house, large scale tech company or digital agency
- Proven success working with all levels of management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
- Detail obsessed and structured.
- Someone with an appetite to build a career with a modern day digital advisory design firm
- Experienced and confident working with project management tools such as Forecast and Smartsheet
