**Introduction**

Our organisation seeks to appoint a seasoned building professional to the post of Site Agent to manage and have full function control of all elements of the building process to ensure execution of the project on time and within budget. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the

Site Agent will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate progress and prepare cost and progress reports for senior management.
- Chair site meetings, liaise with the client and site professionals as well as have oversite overall health and safety on site.
- Ensure elaborate implementation of the project plan
- Determine and plan for labour requirements inline with budgetary limitations.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Manage equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
- Manage and monitor progress of sub-contractors and other staff.
- Supervise the work of laborers and give them guidance when needed.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Liaise with the Safety Officer, SHEQ on all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality matters.
- Develop and implement construction execution strategies at the commencement and during the execution phase of the project.
- Carry out regular reviews of construction workload, manpower utilization and staffing requirements, to ensure both the adequacy and efficiency of all assigned staff.
- Comply with Company and client confidentiality agreements pertinent to construction operations.

**Requirements**:

- Five (5) to eight (8) years post qualification experience as a Site Agent
- Experience handling atleast two (2) Commercial / Industrial Projects / Commercial New Build and Refurbishment projects as a Site Agent
- Tertiary qualification or National Diploma in Civil Engineering is a must.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Experience working in Grade 8 GB/CE construction company
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Projects
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
