Logistics Intern

Requisition ID: 40608- Job Location(s): Johannesburg, ZADanfoss is recruiting a Logistics Intern to deliver service within the areas of freight and import/export from and/or to Danfoss suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, campuses, and customers and manage Inbound/Outbound customs documentation. Coordinate with Custom Authorities, freight forwarders, and Internal/external customers.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Book shipments on a daily basis
- Prepare & Process customs procedures with customs for import and export
- Monitor Inbound & Outbound regular & special shipments with freight forwarders, 3PL
- Execute performance review process with Freight Forwarders & 3PL
- Analyze and suggest improvements with respect to transit time and cost

**Background & Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics
- Proficiency in SAP, Outlook, MS Office
- Strong customer focus
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Teamwork and facilitation skills
- Performance management experience
- Organizational awareness
- Excellent communication skills.
