We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our client in the scientific balancers and centrifuges sector - Johannesburg

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of balancers and centrifuges in a timely and efficient manner. Your technical expertise and customer-oriented approach will ensure that our clients' equipment is up and running optimally, minimizing downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of balancers and centrifuges according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs and adjustments to restore equipment functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities, including inspections, cleaning, and lubrication, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Provide technical assistance and support to customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and offering recommendations for performance improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including service reports, repair logs, and parts inventory, ensuring all work is properly recorded for reference and billing purposes.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams, providing technical expertise and guidance to help secure new orders and cultivate customer relationships.
- Stay updated on product developments, industry trends, and technical advancements related to balancers and centrifuges, continuously improving knowledge and skills through training and self-study.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Service Technician, preferably in the maintenance and repair of balancers and centrifuges or similar technical equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical and electronic systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, ensuring professional and helpful interactions with clients.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites for onsite repair and maintenance when necessary.
