Our client, a world leader in the design and manufacturing of high-speed equipment for the packaging and bottling industry, is seeking a Service Technician to join their dynamic team.The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of advanced packaging and bottling machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime for clients.This role involves extensive travel, both nationally and internationally, to support customers across various locations. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Performing the day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure that Krones machinery performs efficientlyConduct equipment audits and overhaulsMaintain safe working environmentCoach customers on operational and maintenance activitiesAbility to communicate and interact with the client, technicians, subsidiariesAbility to fault find in a logical and professional mannerAbility to install and commission new machines/retrofits with instructionAttend to breakdowns telephonically and physicallyWillingness to work overtime and night workTravelling to customers nationally and internationallyConduct performance acceptance test at the customersProvide intervention reportsInstallation and commissioning of single and complete packaging lines Qualification, Experience, Behaviours & SkillsNational Diploma or N6 with trade certificate, a degree in industrial automation will be advantageousMust have a minimum of 7 years experience in a Field service role in the beverage industryKnowledge of Automation (Siemens S7 & TIA Portal), motion controls (B&R, Danfoss, SEW),Inspection machines, Dry end and general electricsStrong technical knowledge of FMCG / machine packagingMust have knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety ActSupervisory experience will be an advantageAbility to install and commission packaging machinesAdvantageousMust be customer orientated and able to adapt to changeIndividual will be required to develop and monitor team goalsManage personal development and personal performanceReport writing skills and root-cause analysisGood oral and written communication
