**What's the role?**

**You will be responsible for**:

- Contribute to and have responsibility for completion of significant special assignments with technology, software, and integration projects
- Responsible for product performance testing, evaluation, and reporting
- Investigate new / emerging technologies, innovations, and opportunities
- Assist in the handover and training of developed concepts to the relevant business units
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
- Management of Mission Critical Systems and technology
- Management of software and hardware integrations to meet inter departmental SLA's
- The key deliverables for the role include meeting site uptime targets, as well as delivery cost and time targets
- Deliverables:

- Software uptime targets
- Cost and time targets for new project implementations
- Client service levels (internal and external)
- Reporting (daily and monthly) on system uptime and departmental KPIs as defined in the Innovation & Technology department Service Charter
- Participation in innovation forum, and execution of agreed new product trials and strategies
- Adherence to process, and refinement of same where applicable

- Matric
- Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferable (not essential)
- Experience in Java development
- Hands-on experience in Web Services Development (Restful OR SOAP) \ middleware integration
- Experience with user interface design, database structures, and statistical analyses
- Knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL Strong interpersonal skills
