General Worker: Intake

To ensure the timeous offloading and inspection of grain trucks so that samples are sent to the lab for quality testing.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Offloading the trucks and taking of sample from the trucks
- Truck Inspections
- Testing and taking the sample to the Lab
- Cleaning of Intake offloading area, clearing of chokes and Overflowing bins
- Cleaning of Intake machines and Housekeeping
- Assisting on the Repairing and maintaining of the Intake machines
- Ensure compliance with relevant Food Safety and Health Safety

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Grade 12 - Essential

**Experience Requirements**:

- Exposure and Mill knowledge will be an advantage

**Other Requirements**
- Required to work in hot and cold extreme weather conditions.
- Required to perform heavy physical labour.
- 5-day position and may be required to work overtime and unusual working hours (after hours) from time to time.

**Key Outputs**:

- Operate and use required tools and equipment skilfully and safely.
- Maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Read, comprehend, and work from plans and SOP’s.
- Health and safety hazards and precautionary measures to be observed.
- Innovation / continuous improvement.
- Be able to function well in a team.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be able to work well under pressure and independently.
