SACAP is looking for a Project Coordinator: New Programme Accreditation, for 12 months, based nationally at either of SACAP’s Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg or Pretoria campus.

The Project Coordinator: New Programme Accreditation holds an institutional function in assisting and advising the Academic Department in the Initiation, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling and Closing of Programme Feasibility and New Programme Application Projects across Faculties. The Project Coordinator: New Programme Accreditation works in close partnership with the Academic Dean, the Deputy Dean: Institutional Planning and Regulatory Compliance, the Academic Manager, the Heads of Faculty, the Senior Project Coordinator: New Programme Accreditation, the Heads of Teaching and Learning, and collaboratively with other institutional departments, in fulfilment of duties and responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:
The Project Coordinator: New Programme Accreditation will be responsible for the following areas:
**Academic Department: Programme Feasibility/Exploratory Research**:

- Conducts research on the feasibility and viability of key projects being managed by the Academic Department
- Administers and implements research projects from the early planning stages to project completion
- Communicates with key stakeholders to verify that all projects and tasks are on schedule and are completed within the set timeframes
- Generates reports that highlight:

- Background to the particular project
- Methodologies used in research
- Key findings
- Discussion points
- Prepares and presents Senate Proposal documents that demonstrate the feasibility of new programmes
- Recommendations and future opportunities
- Forms a good working relationship with various key stakeholders throughout the
organisation**
**New Programme Applications: Research, Development, Collation and Submission**:

- Collects and collates up-to-date documents timeously and with precision as supporting evidence
- Collects and submits the most up to date documents timeously and with precision as supporting
- Initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing of new programme
- Creating a comprehensive project plan for New Programme Applications across faculties
- o Documenting andtracking all project activities for completion
and quality
- Creating and monitoring the project schedule, prioritising and sequencing time frames associated with
- Enhancing efficiency of research processes:

- Stays abreast of all aspects of the regulatory submission process including new forms that may be
provided, new templates and/or new formats
- Gathers and collates the information in preparation for upload
- Editing and proofing documents where requested for the HoFs, programme designers and module developers
- Identifies where the gaps in information are and highlights these
- Drafts and administrates rebuttals and/or re-accreditation processes where necessary
- Prepares formal letters that may need to be sent in response to outcomes and
processes
registration certificate reflects the new qualification

**General**:

- Contributes to the termly Academic Quality Assurance report
- SACAP Meeting Attendance:

- Presentation of Results
- Monthly Staff Meeting
- Senate where required

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum of an Honour’s degree with a background in Psychology, Education or Social Sciences. A Master’s degree would be preferable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Higher Education with a depth, breadth and range of experience in Regulatory Management, Quality Assurance, Programme Application Development and Submission, Teaching, Research, Learning Design and Curriculum Development
- Minimum of 5 years’ administrative experience, with at least 2 of these years being in Higher Education.
