**Our client a Metropolitan Chamber based in Durban is seeking a Manager: Marketing and Communications for a 3 years contract**

Minimum requirements:
3 year degree or national diploma in Marketing, PR, or Communications
4 to 7 years’ Marketing and Communication experience
2 to 3 years’ middle/ department management.
In addition, experience in writing press releases (strong writing skills); demonstrated experience in managing mobile apps, key relations with municipal stakeholders would be an advantage.

We are seeking a creative, innovative person with an ability to develop appropriate strategies and implement them, who will motivate and transfer skills to the members of the department and work cooperatively with all other managers and members of staff.
- Provide an effective internal communication strategy with a focus on business members and staff.
- Provide an effective external communication strategy with a focus on the wider business community, private and public sector.
- Manage the ongoing development and use of the companies website.
- Effectively advertise the company's many functions and events.
- Identify and engage with sponsors.
- Protect and promote the company and its brand to the public and to various stakeholders.
- Generate revenue from the provision of advertising opportunities.
- Understand and utilise technology to enhance the company's communications.
- Manage the use of social media to promote the company and its activities.
- Oversee other publications.
- Manage the Department staff.
- Manage and execute Membership programmes to generate revenue.
- Manage, plan, and execute a communication strategy with external stakeholders.
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work under high pressure to meet deadlines.
