Our client has an opportunity available for a Communications and Marketing Officer based in KZN, Durban.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or any other related field.
- 3+ years’ relevant experience in a content development or editing position for a business and conducting developmental and substantive language edits on technical material.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the Local Government environment
- Track record in effectively managing stakeholder engagements at all levels.
- Proven Records of publications.
- May be required to travel.
- Valid Driver’s License.

KPAs:

- Assist with administration duties of communication and marketing team.
- In collaboration with the Editor, responsible for the content and appearance of each edition.
- Manage integrated marketing and communications campaigns across offline and online tactics.
- Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities.
- Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels.
- Assist in analysing communication and marketing data to help shape future marketing strategies.
- Brainstorm ideas for communication and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure that policies, communication and marketing guidelines are adhered to by company staff.
- Monitor the effectiveness and impact of the communication and marketing campaigns.
- Anticipate and identify reputational and other risks in the production and communication of content and take corrective actions.
