**Main Purpose of The Role**

The role involves managing of a project team on a regional level to meet strategic business objects.

To be responsible to the planning, executing and ongoing evaluation of projects according to pre-determined timelines and budgets. Managing a project team and reporting to the project sponsor / client.

Ability to manage complex strategic projects within from start to finish with diverse project team(s).

**Job-Related Requirements**
- Matric (essential)
- Tertiary qualification - advantageous.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in Logistics & Projects
- Unendorsed Drivers License & own transport.
- Ability to travel around Gauteng, South Africa & International.
- Excellent written & verbal communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills & able to work in a collaborative & team-based environment.
- Aptitude to multi-task & employ effective problem-solving abilities.
- Detail oriented, high work rate & quality of work.
- Project management experience
- Project management skills - overall management of base and assets, people, and end to end projects
- Health & Safety best practices as well as risk management and environmental awareness especially in Fire Hazard related areas
- Sound working knowledge of TNPA HSE and Environmental policies
- Project Coordination skills in all activities and documentation control
- Identify and manage project dependencies
- Management of teams and delegation of tasks

**Computer Literacy Level**
- Cargo wise experience
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- **Analysis and recommendations**: 1) Data (analysis, comparison, sense checking), 2) Processes (supporting business objectives, complete, accurate, relevant, error proofed, common exceptions covered, measurable), 3) Facilities (best practices, flow, flexibility, compliance);
- **Implementations**: Implement and/or support initiatives & monitor tangible and intangible benefits of changes.
- **Project Management**: Plan, document, execute, monitor, control and close projects using established DSV PM principles and tools, and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
- **Client Relationship Management**: To develop and maintain sound client relationships based on competence, respect and trust, and to leverage this in support of:
1) strategic positioning of the client with other business units and

2) account retention and organic growth.
- **Contractual**: Support contract development and/or negotiation.
- **Financial**: Provide input to and/or develop budget, and measure performance against same.
- **Procurement**: Support supplier selection and management aligned with sound ethical business practice and DSV Policy;
- **Group Facilitation**: Leading & influencing a diverse group through planning and/or problem-solving activities as required,
- **Travel**: Reasonable local and international travel requirement to use knowledge, skills and experience in support of relevant DSV business objectives
