**About the position**

As a junior editor, you will ensure that all company outputs (e.g. educational and marketing content, digital assets and other documents) are written in language that is clear, error-free, factually correct and in adherence to EDGE’s house style guide.

Your duties will include the following:

- Ensuring that textbooks and learning content adhere to the company’s house style and referencing guidelines, in line with industry best practice
- Assessing the language, structure and flow of textbook manuscripts and learning content to ensure that they are written at an appropriate level for the intended audience
- Making substantive edits to textbook manuscripts and learning content
- Communicating and collaborating with other teams throughout production processes

**The minimum education requirement for this role is as follows**:

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Communications, Journalism or a related field

**You will need the following additional skills**:

- A strong grasp of the English language (spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation etc.)
- Strong editing, proofreading and researching skills
- Ability to work with text and comprehend content from a wide variety of fields
- Meticulous attention to detail
