**JOB PURPOSE**

To service and maintain customer equipment with the Low/Mid volume and digital copier environment to ensure a high level of equipment availability and customer satisfaction. The objective is to prevent unnecessary incidents from being escalated by the Customer and assigned to field Technicians by proactively fulfilling maintenance on each device as per the device maintenance procedure. This includes all reasonable and practicable tasks required by the Site Manager; Customers and Service Providers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Technician: Service - Junior is responsible for ensuring calls are attended to within the prescribed time frame to promote professional service image. The Service Engineer is responsible for escalating any issues (physical faults or observations) that may impact on the efficiency/ productivity of the customers' Xerox equipment
- To perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the full range of DIGITAL PRINTERS on the Glencore Sites, Mpumalanga area.
- To exhibit a proactive approach in attending to customer needs.
- To follow effective call and service processes.
- To maintain updated knowledge of relevant product developments.
- To demonstrate care of all company assets.
- To exhibit a proactive approach to self development.
- Management of onsite printing accounting software
- To perform certain Admin functions as determined by Service Delivery Manager
- Must be prepared to standby and overtime
- Must be prepared to travel within the Mpumalanga area to various sites

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS**:
Educational Qualifications:

- Matric Professional Qualifications
- Minimum of N4 Electronics / Electromechanical qualification or equivalent diploma

Years of Experience
- A minimum of 6 months experience with basic Hardware knowledge of printing devices.
- 2-3 years mid volume or digital experience
- Colour experience would be advantageous
- Experience in print management software

Other requirements
- Basic PC literacy.
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Manage at least one employee

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 5 months

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R13,000.00 per month
