**What will you do?**

The role of a Senior Agile Coach is to lead and mentor teams in adopting and implementing Agile methodologies and principles to improve productivity and overall business success.

In this role, the Senior Agile Coach acts as a strategic partner to the Value Portfolio Manager, providing insights and recommendations on Agile practices that can support the organization's goals. They collaborate with the Value Portfolio Manager to establish metrics for measuring success, and track progress towards achieving the organization's strategic objectives.

Overall, the Senior Agile Coach plays a critical role in supporting the Value Portfolio Manager in driving value for the organization. They bring expertise in Agile methodologies, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure that Agile practices are aligned with the organization's overall strategy and objectives.

Key roles and responsibilities of a Senior Agile Coach:

- Leadership: As a Senior Agile Coach, you should be able to inspire, motivate, and lead teams towards achieving their goals. You should be able to create an environment where teams feel safe to express their ideas and concerns, and to collaborate effectively to achieve their objectives.
- Agile Methodology Implementation: Your primary responsibility is to ensure that teams are following Agile methodologies and principles, and that they are adhering to the values and principles of the Agile Manifesto. You should be able to identify gaps in the Agile implementation process and provide guidance to the teams on how to address them.
- Training and Coaching: You should provide training and coaching to teams, stakeholders, and other leaders in the organization on Agile methodologies and principles. You should also provide coaching and feedback to help teams improve their performance and achieve their objectives.
- Scrum Master Support: You should provide guidance and support to Scrum Masters, who are responsible for managing the Agile process for their teams. You should help them to identify and address any obstacles that may be hindering team progress, and provide feedback to help them improve their performance.
- Agile Metrics and Reporting: You should track and analyze Agile metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders on team progress and performance. You should also work with teams to identify areas for improvement and provide guidance on how to address them.
- Continuous Improvement: You should encourage teams to continuously improve their processes and practices, and help them to identify areas where they can make improvements. You should also foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization.
- Stakeholder Management: You should work closely with stakeholders to ensure that their needs and expectations are met, and that they are aligned with the Agile methodology. You should also help teams to communicate effectively with stakeholders, and to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Support the Value Portfolio Manager: The Senior Agile Coach works closely with the Value Portfolio Manager to ensure that Agile methodologies are aligned with the organization's overall strategy and objectives. They provide guidance and support to the Value Portfolio
- Manager in prioritizing work, identifying dependencies, and managing risk. They also work with Agile teams to ensure that they are delivering value in alignment with the Value Portfolio Manager's priorities

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12
- Any relevant IT Qualification (diploma or degree) will be a strong recommendation
- Relevant Agile Coach and/or Scrum Master certification

**The functional competencies required for the Senior Agile Coach**:

- Agile Methodologies: The Senior Agile Coach should have deep knowledge and expertise in Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kan-ban, and Lean. They should have a thorough understanding of Agile principles, practices, and tools, and be able to guide teams in their adoption and implementation.
- Coaching and Mentoring: The Senior Agile Coach should have excellent coaching and mentoring skills. They should be able to work with teams, managers, and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance and support in implementing Agile practices.
- Change Management: The Senior Agile Coach should have expertise in change management. They should be able to act as a change agent, promoting the adoption of Agile methodologies across the organization, and working to overcome resistance to chang
