**Litigation Attorney**

**An opportunity awaits a dynamic, results driven, energetic Litigation Attorney (preferably with experience in Labour Law) to join a small Law Firm specialising in employment law.**

**The following minimum qualifications and experience must be met in order to be considered for this position**:

- Matric;
- Law degree;
- Admitted Attorney;
- 2 years or more post articles experience in a litigation environment;
- Litigation experience;
- Experience in labour / employment law, is definitely an advantage;
- Computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and power point. Experience in excel is an advantage
- Knowledge of alternate dispute resolution (mediation, conciliation and arbitration).

**The Key Performance Areas of the position include the following**:

- Drafting all legal documents, notices and pleadings relevant to the legal forum and the matter;
- Conducting ongoing legal Research;
- Consulting with clients;
- Providing Opinions (written and verbal) and conducting research to do so;
- Drafting commercial contracts and all labour related contracts and documents (employment contracts, policies and proceedings etc)
- All preparation for litigation proceedings, in compliance with relevant legislation and Rules of court and tribunals;
- Appearing and representing clients in relevant courts and tribunals
- Negotiating Settlement, on instructions and where appropriate, including drafting settlement agreements.
- Keeping up to date with new developments and legislation in relevant areas of law;
- Initiating and Chairing Disciplinary Enquiries;
- Advising on, assisting clients with and ensuring client compliance with all relevant labour related legislation (BCEA, LRA, Employment Equity etc.) including drafting of all relevant documents;
- Attending to all administrative duties;
- Attending to drafting bills of cost etc. (where required).

**Salary**: R10,000.00 per month
