**Role Summary**

The CPO is responsible for co-ordinating the protection and security of our clients, ensuring client protection in a professional manner at all costs through effective assessment and implementation of preventative measures.

**Day to day duties**
- Deal with all general operational requirements, crisis management and problem-solving.
- Assessment of threats, potential or not and pro-active searching vehicles and buildings, etc., to establish potential risks.
- Check client itineraries and venues, and assess risks and potential threats
- Effective observation of area, room, venue, vehicle and surroundings at all times.
- Research and plan as well as gather intelligence to identify any risk factors or form an operational plan for the client’s protection
- Prepare adequately for any changes that may come up.
- Driving clients to and from venues, providing security in transit with special skills in defensive and evasive driving.
- Co-ordinate all security arrangements and maintain the link between the client and the service.
- Provide briefings to clients relating to the security situation within the area and provide current and valid intelligence as required.
- Professional conduct, clear and continuous communication with the client to ensure changes are handled smoothly, and integration with delegates are friendly and relaxed.
- Interact and liaise with area security personnel ensuring quick response if required.
- Submit a report of any incidents or problems encountered after each and every task/assignment.
- Keep a log for vehicle and effective time sheets are completed for each and every task/assignment and ensure regular updates and reports are sent with each and every task
- Minimum Grade 11 certificate or higher
- Copy of ID
- Copy of Driver's license
- PDP Driver license
- Valid PSIRA registration no & Grade (C min)
- Valid 1st Aid certificate
- CPO unit standard certificate
- SASSETA certificate
- Use of Handgun (Business use) certificate u/s 123 515
- Knowledge of Fire Arm control u/s 117 705
- SAPS firearms competency certificate
