**_ Position Purpose:_**

The position will facilitate ongoing compliance to a comprehensive set of controls, procedures and standards in the

maintenance of TPT’s SAP fixed assets environment through use of data analytics and reporting tools to ensure consistent
and proper accounting treatment of assets as per IFRS.

**_ Position outputs:_**

1. Performance monitoring and data analytics reporting:

- Develop, implement and manage a formal performance-monitoring dashboard;
- Track and manage performance on an ongoing basis on fixed asset management controls
- Analyse and report on delivery against targets for fixed asset management in line with agreed dashboard reporting for

Group as well as within the Division structures
- Define, implement and manage corrective action to drive performance maturity
- Reviewing and monitoring the asset master data using the Continuous Controls Monitoring (CCM) Tool (including project

plan) and following up with terminals on specified timelines for completion.
- Manage the monitoring on delivery of benefit targets and action plans by developing and performing cross analytics on the

various classes of assets including but not limited to, depreciation exceptions, missing asset master data, assessment of fully
- depreciated assets.
- Ensure that monthly exception reports are run timeously and are used to eliminate any duplication or data or incorrect

allocations/ details and that an investigation occurs into the origin of these exceptions, so that measures can be taken to
- prevent repeat occurrences
- Highlight achievement of deliverables and terminal and HQ asset exceptions on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

utilising the dashboard as a tool; including the assessment of Capital spares, non-current assets held for sale, timeous
- capitalisations and the clearance of suspense accounts.
- Coordinate the HQ fixed asset physical verification, asset tagging and useful life assessment processes and ensure that

the relevant exceptions are recorded accurately on the system and relevant provisions are raised accordingly
- Track, monitor and collate the summary of the terminal physical verification, useful life assessment, asset tagging reports

and ensure the terminal Regional Financial Managers accurately record the exceptions on the system and raise the relevant
- provisions that may be applicable.

2. Reporting
- Perform the lease calculations and lease reconciliation in line with IFRS 16 as well as a completeness review of any

changes required for right of use assets.
- Review of General Ledger reconciliation, master data changes, Masterfile amendment files to ensure any reconciling and

all long outstanding items are investigated and addressed.
- Assist with preparation of the revaluation templates in accordance with IAS 16.

3. Systems and support
- Organises the implementation of business solutions through improvements in information systems, data management,

processes and procedures.
- Ensures standardisation of processes delivered to the business and terminals
- Engage necessary stakeholders to co-ordinate and provide responses on information requested.
- Acknowledge and attend to requests received by Transnet Group
- Prepare reports and presentations as and when required by the Divisional Fixed Asset Manager / Financial Reporting

Manager for internal and external meetings
- Assist with the preparation of fixed asset Standard Operating Procedures in line with relevant IFRS standards.
- Takes responsibility for investigative work to seek effective business solutions.

4. Manage key stakeholder relationships
- Providing guidance and support to terminal Finance team.
- Actively manage internal and external communication working directly with the key stakeholders including Regional

Finance Managers, Terminals Fixed Asset Accountants, Head Office staff and auditors;
- Build partnerships and develop opportunities for service enhancement including the streamlining of processes for improved

efficiencies and asset reporting;
