**Senior Coordinator Restoration and Impact**
Conservation International protects nature for the benefit of humanity. Through science, policy, fieldwork, and finance, we spotlight and secure the most important places in nature for the climate, biodiversity, and for people. With offices in 30 countries and projects in more than 100 countries, Conservation International partners with governments, companies, civil society, Indigenous peoples, and local communities to help people and nature thrive together.
Conservation South Africa (CSA), an affiliate of Conservation International (CI), is dedicated to promoting sustainable development by integrating the value of nature into decision-making processes. Through its initiatives, CSA enhances human well-being by protecting and restoring ecosystems that provide essential goods and services. The organization works to influence policy, develop conservation-friendly markets, engage the private sector, and support local communities in implementing economically viable, conservation-based growth models.
One of CSA’s flagship initiatives, Herding for Health (H4H)—a collaboration between CI and The Peace Parks Foundation, is a community-driven livestock management program designed to support rural communities living in and around protected areas. This model restores grasslands, savannas, and shrublands, conserves biodiversity, and strengthens livelihoods through herding, capacity building, and collective governance.
CSA actively partners with communal livestock farmers and local communities to combat the impacts of climate change using nature-based solutions. At the heart of this work is the H4H concept, which promotes responsible stewardship of biodiverse communal rangelands through Conservation Agreements, ensuring that local economies thrive while preserving natural ecosystems for future generations.
