Senior Financial and Investment Analyst sought for Private Fund.
Based in the Johannesburg CBD, this private fund and asset management company provides a variety of solutions and property management services for predominantly residential buildings, but extends to various commercial and retail properties situated in nodes in all SA’s major cities. With a growing portfolio and entrepreneurial leadership, they rejuvenate existing buildings upgrading them into highly sought-after living and working spaces.
Already providing over 20,000 individuals with a place that they can call home, this dynamic company also carries out all the management of their properties internally from cleaning and security right through to property and asset management.
With the intention of growing further by means of acquisitions, partnerships and further fund-raising initiatives, they are looking to appoint a Senior Property Analyst to keep abreast of all of the financial and business data to support their efforts.
In this role you would work closely with the Asset Management and Executive management teams, in support of investor relations, purchases and disposals, operational management and reporting. This will see you responsible for due diligence, investor queries, valuations, financial and operational analysis, ESG reporting, and any ad hoc analyses. The ideal person would be able to work well independently and as part of a team, and preferably have managed teams before. You will be highly organised, articulated, and confident in building relationships, collaborating across departments and stakeholders, and presenting your findings.
To be a suitable applicant you will need to have a bachelor’s degree in Property, Engineering or Finance, and will preferably hold an MBA or CFA qualification. It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in the property market, preferably within Finance or Private Equity.
Your proven excellence in MS Excel, data analysis, financial modelling, and data management, coupled with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and recommendations will necessary to succeed in this position.
