Role Overview

Moolalend is currently looking for a team member to fill the role of Investment Analyst. Moolalend is looking for someone with some experience in the funding/lending space. An Investment Analyst is an integral part of our investment team and will be responsible for conducting research, analysing financial data, and assisting in investment decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis:

- Read and review credit reports for the necessary stakeholders.
- Source and convert leads that require funding for the execution of purchase orders they have been awarded.
- Monitor and track the performance of existing investments to support decision-making and portfolio management activities.
- Ensure the pipeline is sufficient for the funds available, and keep the Moolalend spreadsheet up to date.

Funding
- Assist with funding projects between R250K - R750K.
- In instances in which the project is above R750K - ensure the business receives a funding proposal and that a meeting for approval takes place.

Due Diligence
- Assist in conducting due diligence on potential funding projects to evaluate potential risks.

Reporting
- Generate the weekly reports every Monday by COB.
- Send out monthly statements
- Generate a monthly and quarterly report on Moolalends performance

Stakeholder Management and Satisfaction
- Manage communications from clients enquiring about Moolalends product offerings and its services, processes and policies regarding funding.
- Retain customers/clients.

Administration and Project Management
- Ensure the admin up to date regarding client agreements and End-user verifications on approved projects.
- Manage projects to ensure that the project is duly completed within the required time frame (Within the 90 day period).
- Ensure defaults/bad debts are below 20%.

Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with other members of the team to contribute to the overall investment process and generate investment ideas.

Requirement
- 2+ years experience in the finance sector (lending/funding/financing)
- Project management experience advantageous
- Commercial qualification advantageous
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and investments
- Proficient in MS Suites
