**Your Impact**:
Jacobs Clean Energy SA (Pty) Ltd, in Cape Town, who predominately work in the Nuclear (Energy) Industry, are seeking a Project Planner with passion to lead and manage the planning and project control disciplines that will help us achieve successful delivery of a portfolio of projects. The Project Planner will work closely with the Construction and Project Managers to provide schedule management, risks and opportunity management, and cost management, and will interface with our clients on these aspects on behalf of Jacobs.

**About the Opportunity**

The Project Planner will provide project controls management, including strategic, tactical, and operational analyses. The role is considered an opportunity for those with high potential and ambitions to integrate and become a key resource in our ever-growing team. Key responsibilities will include:

- Provide planning updates, management, including baseline schedule development and management, baseline change control, risk management, delay analysis and mitigation
- Obtain planning updates from various construction team members and site
- Schedule performance status reporting including curves, critical path analysis, dashboards and deviation summaries
- Support programme integration, governance, formats, plan optimization, reporting and project controls best practices
- Develop the cost and resource substantiated plans to support bids, proposals, compensation events and claims
- Provide project and cost control support to produce forward forecasting and demonstrate cost adherence that is effective for both project management and internal reporting requirements
- Manage governance to ensure robust cost and schedule performance for the agreed Scope of Work across integrated programmes.
- Construction / Outage planning experience is advantageous

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Hands-on experience with industry accepted planning software (Primavera P6)
- Proven experience and successful track record in technical project execution, specifically in terms of planning management of progress, costs, change and risks
- Solid understanding of procurement, engineering, design and modern EPC construction projects (Mechanical / Electrical)
- Excellent Communications Skills for Stakeholder Management on multiple levels both externally and internally
- Experience of NEC contracts, Early Warnings, Delay management, claims, compensation events and commercial aspects and how these are translated into and supported by the project plans
- Risk Management, Earned Value, CPI, SPI experience is advantageous
- Demonstrably working towards a Leadership role is advantageous
- Professional level qualification or membership in Planning/Project Controls and/or Project Management is advantageous. E.g. PMI-SP
