Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Banking Sales Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Sales Team and other resources with a hands-on approach to new business development. You will work closely with Senior Management to develop a sales strategy for Gauteng, ensuring financial targets are achieved and a high level of engagement is provided to prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, motivate, and manage the Sales Team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans for the Gauteng region.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, leveraging your strong network.
- Conduct financial analysis and assess creditworthiness of potential clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Provide regular reports and updates to Senior Management on sales performance and market insights.

Skills / Personal Attributes Required:

- Post graduate qualification in commerce, with a flair for financial analysis. CA qualification is an added advantage.
- A minimum of ten years' commercial banking/lending experience in a sales position, with a strong knowledge of trade and/or debtor finance.
- At least five years' experience in a management role, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to drive results.
- Strong networking skills with an existing relevant network in the banking industry.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills, with a solid understanding of forex markets as a plus.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building successful client relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
