- Job Type- Permanent- Location - Country- South Africa- Location - Province- Western Cape- Location - Town / City- Cape Town- Job PurposeProvincial Treasury has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage the sub-directorate, develop, review and implement financial accounting systems and procedures in line with relevant legislation, regulations, frameworks and departmental policies and procedures. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.
- Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Financial Management; A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Financial Accounting at supervisory/management level.
- RecommendationExperience of the compilation of Interim Financial Statement (IFS) and Annual Financial Statements (AFS).
- Key Performance AreasDevelopment and implementation of Financial Accounting, Revenue Management and Expenditure management policies, processes and procedures; Ensure revenue and expenditure management and provide financial administration and accounting services; Plan and manage the work of and account for the overall performance of the sub-directorate; People management.
- CompetenciesKnowledge and understanding of the following: Legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices related to Financial Accounting, Revenue Management and Expenditure Management; The following skills: Computer literacy; Management; Written and verbal communication; Customer service.
- RemunerationAll-inclusive salary package of R 849 702 per annum (Salary level 11)

Note on remuneration: to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
