Project Manager

Project Manager duties include but not limited to:

- Use the industry network and referrals to source and identify new potential projects/clients
- Approach and engage with potential clients to understand their needs; explain/sell the Devcotech value proposition in order to secure projects
- Refer interested clients to CEO for further quoting and contracting
- Assist the CEO with the tendering process if required
- Display leadership behaviours and values in all interactions with staff
- Build and maintain sound working relationships with client/account managers on site
- Communicate effectively with clients surrounding the technical specifications/requirements of project implementation, as well as the financial and business impact/value of projects for their business
- Be a Devcotech ambassador and display the Devcotech values when engaging with clients
- Maintain regular contact with clients (even outside of projects) to maintain a relationship of closeness and dependency.
- Deal with disagreements or conflicts timeously and effectively, always protecting the client’s relationship with Devcotech
- Undertake appropriate client recognition and socialisation when appropriate
- _CRM (Customer Relationship Management) _~ Keep client files updated with relevant information and any company changes, with the goal of improving relationships. (i.e.: management structures, or operating changes)

- Generate or receive the new project quotation/PO/proposal/design.
- Confirm JOBSYS information is correctly loaded. Make necessary corrections if required
- Undertake a technical analysis of project requirements in terms of bill of quantities/client design brief
- Check that loaded quote matches the client order. Verify differences if necessary
- Review Client-Generated Agreements. Check that the T&C’s in the client contract is acceptable to Devcotech. Escalate differences to client for re-negotiation
- Liaise with the Devcotech SHE to verify that all health and safety protocols are in place and approved before starting project
- Sign-off all above before beginning project
- Initiate and develop a documented **project plan** onto an existing template/program containing

- Risks, dependencies and contingency plans

- Visit/contact/consult with client to confirm project goals, brief and deliverables
- Engage with HOD’s to formulate a project team within Devcotech suitable for the project requirements
- Communicate relevant project information through HOD’s for their planning and contributions
- Manage multiple projects (new and enhancements)
- Work according to the project plan to co-ordinate and to meet contract deliverables
- Ensure that effective project tracking and status updating takes place to facilitate clarity and communication regarding the progress of the project. (liaise with HOD’s are required)
- Manage budgets and resource utilisation carefully on projects
- Consult and communicate closely with the HOD’s to ensure work hand-offs and transitions happen effectively and to plan

- Flag risks and setbacks and deal timeously with project delays to both clients and Devcotech. Undertake ‘_early warning’_ processes
- Plan, quote, re-contract and communicate VO’s and project amendments should they occur within projects
- Attend weekly Operations Management meetings with HOD’s to give progress feedback on projects
- Update Job/sys on a weekly basis and present progress in weekly project meetings
- Undertake regular site and client visits to track progress and deal with any problem areas
- Act as the main client contact person in terms of access of Devcotech staff to the client. Manage and filter information and access
- Work collaboratively with the Installation Manager (HOD) to plan and co-ordinate the formulation of the installation teams
- Work closely with the SHE to ensure ongoing site safety protocols and processes are undertaken
- _Supervise_ project resources and monitor productivity and quality on site. Escalate problem areas to Team Leaders or/and HOD. Oversee all installation work and ensure standards and specifications are correct
- In conjunction with the HOD’s ensure that all project plans, actions, budgets, status’s and progress feedback is updated and documented onto the project program Job-Sys
- Ensure that all HOD’s have access to this program in order to track and update their planning and preparation for project deliverables
- Be accountable for the client file and record of the project
- Provide support (with Devcotech Design team) in preparation of all _closed out documents_ (i.e.: all relevant EC&I documents and compliance certificates) and ensure these are given to clients at project close
