- Responsible for management of the Foreign & Local Payables Function
- Review of foreign and local payables vendor reconciliations
- Obtain exchange control approval for all foreign payments
- Review and authorization of all foreign payments on banking portal
- Assist with the resolution of escalated Vendor queries
- Liaison with Receiving and Purchasing Departments to resolve vendor queries
- Review of all staff journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor aging of the GRIR accounts
- Monitor aging of Creditors ledgers
- Authorizing changes to banking details on vendor master data in SAP
- Prepare cashflow and balance sheet forecasts as required by Treasury
- Management of the Accounts Receivable Function
- Review and monitor credit limits for customers
- Ensure that guarantees or stand by letters of credit are in place as required
- Prepare cashflow and balance sheet forecasts as required by Treasury
- Ensure debt is collected as it falls due
- Assist with the resolution of debt collection issues
- Review of the debtors aging report
- Review of all staff journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Management of the Cashbook Processing Function
- Management of the cashbook processing
- Review of the cashbook allocations and clearing account
- Review of all staff journals and bank account reconciliations

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- B.Com Accounting Degree or similar
- 5 years experience in an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable function
- Excellent working knowledge of SAP specifically relating to customer invoicing, cash collections and resolution of customer queries
- Ability to monitor customer credit limits in accordance with set company policies
- Coordination with Treasury and company bankers to process all foreign payments
- Sound working knowledge of Exchange Control Regulations with respect to foreign currency payments and receipts
