An exciting opportunity exists for a **DTP / Artwork Production Specialist. **The purpose of this role is to is to coordinating packaging artwork projects from design lock-down to commercially reproducible mechanical artwork and separations in a timely manner. The position must interface with internal marketing, product development and quality teams who provide artwork content. They also need to deal with external partners like design agencies and packaging suppliers who deliver the work in the form of artwork and printed materials

**Speed to Market**
- Own the creative designer to packaging supplier artwork transfer
- Own artwork approval process

**IP management**
- Own and manage artwork IP from various vendors
- Develop an internal IP/artwork repository
- Manage IP/artwork library - version controlling
- Go-to for artwork files for relevant supplier changes and manage the IP transfer between vendors

**Artwork quality**
- Perform artwork adaptions (not creative) during artwork approval process
- Provide basic internal design function i.e. tags, labels, sales media, brochures

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Matric Certificate / Grade 12
- Relevant DTP / Graphic Design qualification

**Experience**:

- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role or environment in the area of packaging: print production, print management, packaging and graphic design.
- Basic DTP output skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Work. Excel and PPT.
- Advanced Adobe CS suite essential (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Mac OSX skills essential
- Experience in design and preparation for print
- Experience in Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server and/or Windows SharePoint Services an advantage.

**Certifications**
- Basic DTP output skills, Advanced Adobe CS suite essential (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Mac OSX skills essential
- Experience in Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server and/or Windows SharePoint Services an advantage.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Understand the category and brands you are working on - the innovation funnel, business strategy related to artworks deliveries, brand DNA, priorities and volume per year.
- Worth together with marketing and Design Agencies at the Design initiation phase, providing technical inputs to ensure the artwork meets key compliance criteria prior to internal stakeholder approval process.
- Work with Marketing and Packaging Development to align the design brief from the very beginning, according to the Corporate Style Guides.
- Manage and be accountable for the timely delivery of mechanical artwork and separation files to printers / suppliers in order to deliver packaging on a timely basis (OTIF).
