**Requirements**:

- A degree in food science, engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven track record with 2 - 3 years’ relevant experience in a ready-to-eat food production facility.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance procedures.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for process improvement.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
- Willingness to work overtime, night shifts and weekends when operationally required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leading and optimising our ready-to-eat production processes, ensuring efficient and consistent output.
- Maintaining strict quality control measures to ensure our ready-to-eat products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Managing and mentoring a team of production staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Engaging with relevant stakeholders, suppliers and customers on new product development (NPD), ensuring fulfilment of customer requirements.
- Overseeing inventory levels, coordinating ordering, and managing supply chains to maintain production efficiency.
- Continuously evaluating and improving production processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and quality enhancements.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety and regulatory standards.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Franschhoek, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelors (required)
