A high-quality plastic extrusion manufacturer is searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to perform maintenance services on all plant equipment to optimise site productivity, manage and implement preventative maintenance plans, reduce downtime of breakdowns and provide mentorship to two Maintenance Assistants.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Trade Tested Fitter / Fitter and Turner / Millwright
- 10 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably food or food packaging
- Hands-on implementation of machine preventative maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Own reliable transport
**Primary Duties**
- Attend to and maintain plant facilities and production equipment.
- Plan, update and implement the preventative maintenance schedule.
- Fault finding and repairs of various equipment.
- Accurate installation of mechanical plant machinery and/or equipment.
- Handle breakdowns and analyse root causes to prevent future occurrences.
- Manage the maintenance processes and prioritise tasks for the maintenance team.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed when working with tools and equipment.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to apprentices.
- Liaise with the Production and Plant Managers, keeping them informed of any problems and/or progress in the maintenance of production machinery.
