**Summary of the role and role holder**

- Take a lead role in the management of industrial projects from their opportunity study to their commissioning and start-up
- Assess and study the different technical scenarios with company engineering to define the most appropriate solutions to meet the customer demand, budget, and time schedule.
- Issue the specifications according to customer requirements, analyse the suppliers’ offers, participate in the supplier selection, and facilitate contract negotiations with management and purchasing department.

**The Project Engineer will**:

- Lead all local works from getting quotations from local suppliers to erection of buildings & equipment
- Coordinate purchases (with company purchasing organisation), shipping, installation with local project team and commissioning of overseas equipment
- Organize the necessary support from the overseas experts and technicians (planning, visa, on site activities, etc.)
- Communicate regular feedback to management on the status of project delivery, with milestones, and anticipated budget outflows
- Assist the production and maintenance teams in development of the necessary documentation for Planned maintenance (PM) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) to ensure ongoing efficacy of processes and equipment for defined reliability, safety and quality targets
- Organise and lead Steering committees to ensure good coordination and decision-making processes for the successful execution of project activities
- With company engineering, the Project Engineer will guarantee equipment conformity with the necessary regulations and company EHS standards, specifications, time schedule and budgets
- Provide technical assistance support to plant operational teams after start-up on all issues and difficulties that may occur to resolve these effectively

**Pioneer to Lead**
- To be the main contact for operational, supply chain and office matters relating to capital expenditure and project delivery
- Liaise with external bodies, such as suppliers, contractors and company Engineering to ensure projects are well executed.
- To keep up to date on current technologies that may offer better solutions to operational challenges
- Ensure the Management Team are aware of plans and developments within the business and ensure they can support the processes.
- Support operational and senior management meetings to ensure relevant legislation and policies are considered and applied along with proper financial validation for capital expenditure projects
- Lead the planning and implementation of safety audits during project installation and commissioning to ensure contractors adhere to EHS standards
- Offer support through training and development of operational teams to ensure smooth start-up of new assets

- Use knowledge of safety systems and design engineering to contribute to safe assets with limited people interaction
- Work closely with company Engineering to ensure solutions are validated and all options are considered
- Lead the development and implementation of Project Management competencies across the organization
- Support the MOC (Management of Change) programme by adhering to MOC protocols
- Support the Plant Manager to ensure adequate project governance and compliance is achieved**Inherent Requirements**
