An organisation in Gaming/ Consumer Electronics for a Product Manager who is going to be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering (Factory), sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager will also ensure that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals

- Develops products by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies
- A Product Manager must be passionate about building products that customers love. Product Managers improve customer experiences, generate new product ideas, and outline detailed product strategies, among other duties
- Product Managers will need to manage diverse teams spanning engineering and marketing, requiring both a strong technical background and excellent interpersonal skills

**Responsibilities and Overview**:

- Determines customers’ needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information
- Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
- Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products
- Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives
- Obtains product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies
- Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests
- Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules
- Brings new products to market by analysing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing
- Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders
- Outlining a detailed product strategy
- Managing product road maps and releases
- Understanding product selling points
- Identifying and filling product gaps
- Generating new product ideas
- Developing product pricing and positioning strategies
- Working with PR and marketing teams to manage product launches
- Acting as a product evangelist and representing the company at public events

experience, qualifications and skills
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Product Manager
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Negotiating, engaging and daily correspondence with Chinese manufacturers is crucial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
- Proven product development ability
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to present to customers and Infront of large audiences
