Qualified Diesel Mechanic with Min 3+ years' suitable experience
- Sign off all estimates and invoices for the repair and maintenance and breakdowns of fleet when Maintenance Manager is on leave
- Planning of servicing of the fleet when Assistant Operations Manager is on leave
- Licensing all vehicles through relevant service providers
- Controlling of vehicle trip sheets and parts gate passes
- Spot checks according to quote versus actual back from service providers
- Receive tyre stock, lubrication, branding and Afrox according to invoice
- Check tyres before sent off for repairs and rethread
- Do spot checks in the yard with service providers
- Receive new vehicles and manage all fitments
- Manage e-tags on all vehicles
- Weekly tyre scrap
- Order new e-tags when missing or not working through Head Office Accountants
- Manage the brake roll machine of every vehicle after there service and before going back into operation
- Housekeeping enforcement
- Arrange outside service providers if needed for repairs on vehicles
- Arrange quotations for accidents for vehicles in the yard
- Assist with accidents on the road
- Capture services (brakes, COF services and licenses of the trailers on mix)
