Snr Manager: IT Sourcing

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads IT sourcing business case development (10%)
- Provides supply market, leading practice and expert input and quality assurance during the IT sourcing business case development stage
- Responsible for the development and execution of the IT sourcing category strategy (40-50%)
- Responsible for the development of the IT sourcing category strategy, supported by the Head of Procurement.
- Leads the development and execution of the Go-To-Market and negotiation strategy
- Develops the sourcing risk assessments
- Measures practices against best-in-class benchmarks to ensure that the strategy remains relevant
- Works closely with business owners to ensure alignment to budget and IT requirements, Telkom's technology strategy, overall corporate strategy and leading practice
- Leads identification of potential strategic partners and fact based negotiations for IT sourcing
- Manages the strategy implementation and sourcing execution against the established measures and controls in alignment with the overall KPI framework
- Spend under management ~R1 Billion Per Annum and deal sizes likely to be worth R60 Million#R3 Billion
- Manages internal customer relationships (10-20%)
- Manages internal customer feedback and query resolution on outsource partner performance
- Administers periodic surveys to measure customer feedback for continuous improvement
- Improves and reinforces procurement's image within the internal customer community
- Acts as a source of expert market knowledge, insight and advice to customers

- Develops, maintains and embeds IT sourcing best practice
- Benchmarks performance internally and externally to develop and maintain leadership position
- Initiates and manages productivity improvements within the IT sourcing category
- Manages IT supplier relationships and contracts (10%)
- Continuously tracks and reports supplier performance, compliance and supplier relationship value against Service Level Agreements and budgets
- In collaboration with the Compliance and Risk team, assesses and defines the risk management plan and mitigation actions
- Is responsible for supplier relationship management and performance management
- Executes supplier development activities
- Identifies and recommends supplier innovations and manages implementation
- Monitors and drives internal customers contract compliance; defines and takes approved corrective actions to improve contract compliance
- Manages contract compliance and payment terms as per Telkom policies (10%)
- Closely monitors contract compliance and flags areas of non-compliance for corrective action
- Identifies methods for optimising user compliance and customer satisfaction Manages people performance and development (10%)
- Manages the performance, development and implementation of team learning and growth plans, and provides coaching and mentoring to ensure

ongoing learning and capability development within the team
- Provides comprehensive advice, insights, guidance and service on best practice procurement
- Ensures team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with operations and personal development needs

**Required Certification**:
A CIPS level 6 or MBA will be an advantage.

**Qualifications**:
3 year degree/ diploma (NQF level 6) preferably in Supply Chain or Business/ Commerce/ IT or other related field or CIPS level 5

**Experience**:
7 years relevant experience of which at least 3 years in IT Category Management/ Strategic Sourcing with a minimum of 2 years on a management level.
