**Job description**:
The role is responsible for the oversight of all out-sourced local productions, ensuring that priorities and editorial strategies are aligned; inspire and engage independent producers by articulating your editorial priorities; work with producers and production companies to create and develop ideas that meet our audiences’ needs.
The incumbent is required to display creative leadership to the development process, encouraging risk-taking and innovation whilst maintaining expertise to identify trends and opportunities for outstanding content; ensure programmes are compliant and that the financial slate you are accountable for is delivered successfully; ensure that commissions demonstrate value for money, quality, and originality. To work alongside the commercial team and assist in identifying and engaging with co-funding and/or production partners.

**Role responsibilities**:

- To be accountable for editorial and overall production oversight of all assigned local productions ensuring timings, editorial and budgetary needs are met.
- Create the brief to the production houses and evaluate the external proposal (create reports for local/South/international evaluation)
- Make sure that the network editorial line is fully respected, and the production value is in line with the expectations
- Determine the best production house and crew for all the different projects (pick the best and most relevant in the market)
- Scouting of new ideas and editorial development of existing ideas
- Be the point of reference for all internal departments (legal, communication, finance, marketing, on air, sales, HR, etc.)
- Give constant and regular updates and reports on the production development for internal evaluation and approval
- Manage production budgets and find optimisation for the company
- Participate in International projects (pitch/development)

**Qualifications**:

- A degree in film and television/scriptwriting.
- Post graduate qualification will be advantageous

**Skills**:

- Deep understanding of the full production process
- Editorial development and execution
- Budgeting skills to find optimisations
- Organisation skills to coordinate with all the internal departments (i.e., Finance PO, contractual details, Talent management, Digital needs, etc.)
- Deep understanding of the editorial and Brand needs
- Knowledge of the TV industry and an understanding of media trends and competitive landscapes
- Able to drive the production house to deliver the best result from picking the right crew to overseeing the whole production process from ideation to delivery
- Deep understanding of audience needs

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an executive producer, series producer or commissioning
- Extensive entertainment and broadcasting Industry knowledge and experience
- Proven record in delivering successful scripted entertainment content
- Extensive understanding of audiences
- Deep knowledge of current and future content trends in multiple markets and platforms
