Training and Field Service Manager for Process

Job Description:
Are you customer service orientated and passionate about training, and do you have at least 5 years’ experience in process control instrumentation? If yes, this may be an opportunity for you to grow and build up your management experience for future promotions. You will manage the Installed Base Services (IBS) teams located in various regions as well as manage and facilitate Process Control Systems Solutions training to clients and staff at prescribed standards.

**Responsibilities**:
Schedule all weekly / monthly IBS SLA work/hours and allocate resources
Review monthly Service Level Agreements (SLA) reports and present to customers
Verify technicians’ s training progress vs Certification and skills matrix
Determine effectiveness of SLA’s and amend activities where required
Promote and obtain orders for SLA’s with new customers
Keep record of the maturity dates of all SLA and Guardian contracts and ensure timeous renewal

Attend in person to specific SLA’s
Produce a comprehensive monthly report on activities and utilisation for the Operational Review Meeting
Process Systems Solutions (PSS) Training
Establish and Coordinate training budget (catering, printing, cost of training certification, etc.)
Develop / Maintain Training Schedule in accordance with customer requirements and trainer availability
Publish training schedule - training courses
Coordinate training intervention (booking training venue, catering, training material etc.)
Evaluate course effectiveness
Maintenance and updates of training software / equipment
Report to OEM provider on all training courses done to uphold the terms and conditions of OEM’s Agreement
Market product during training
Supervision of Training Administrator
Attend & successfully complete OEM’s Process Solution System equipment training courses to become certified in at least 3 training courses
Identify new training opportunities to increase profitability

Job Qualification & Experience:
Academic qualifications:
Grade 12 or equal
N6 Engineering / NDip Engineering - Instrumentation (required) (NQF6) or,
Bachelor of Engineering Technology Honours (NQF8) or,
Baccalaureus Technologiae (B Tech) (NQF 7) or,
National Diploma Electrical Engineering (NQF6)
OEM’s Certification (Complete in prescribed time frame, post-employment)

Practical experience:
5 years Process / Instrumentation related experience
MS Office proficiency - Word and Excel in particular Formal Training Experience
Experience in a training environment
Control Systems environment configuring, testing, commissioning instrumentation of control systems
DCS and or PLC and SCADA Configuration Experience
DeltaV DCS experience would be an advantage
Presentation Experience
Basic Understanding of Project Execution according to Industrial / Systematic procedures
Report writing skills
