Plant Launch Lead

**POSITION DETAILS**
- Provide direction and leadership and prioritize the activities of the Paint shop, Final Chassis Area launch team.
- Develop and manage the Paint shop, Final Chassis Area launch plan.
- Participate in the virtual DPA-5 process to:
- 1. Provide manufacturing input to plant and VO engineering teams during the Virtual Build activities.
- 2. Supply current-state eQPS job instruction sheets and Cycle Line Layout (CLL) ACAD drawings
- 3. Verify the Bill of Material (B.O.M.) and the Bill of Process (B.O.P.)
- 4. Identify and address high-hurt issues early
- 5. Validate product/process compatibility, logging all discovered issues, communicating them to the Launch Team, and managing their resolution.
- Represent the Paint shop, Final Chassis area in all launch activities and at each gateway review.
- Communicate all concerns to the launch team for coordination and resolution.
- Communicate the Paint shop, Final Chassis Area launch plans and issues to the other area launch leaders.
- Lead Workstation Readiness.
- Lead Zone with Manufacturing team.
- Support all PMT Leaders
- Coordinate tooling and facility changes and equipment installations with the Tooling & Facilities engineer.
- Select Paint shop, Final Chassis Area Product Specialists (PSG's) and Tooling Specialists (TSG's) and provide leadership and direction to the group.
- Develop and implement the Paint shop, Final Chassis Area control plans.
- Develop a Paint shop, Final Chassis Area training plan with the LPWR Leader
- Lead and Manage the PSO
- Manage VOW
- Lead Whiteboard Build Issues Meeting to resolution with Quality Engineer.
- Review all Final Chassis Area product changes, understanding the differences relative to the current product and their impact to the Final Chassis area facilities, tooling and processes
- Review recommended process changes with the staff engineers
- Work with the launch team to ensure that all representative tooling is in place and ready to support the pre-production builds
- Assist the production personnel during the pre-production builds
- Identify, track and resolve tooling, process and design concerns encountered during the builds
- Develop repair standards with the Staff Engineers, the Final Chassis Area Production Coordinator and the Product Specialists
- Serve as the main interface between the launch team and the maintenance supervisors
- Maintain training and versatility charts for all maintenance employees
- Oversee the development of the Cycle Line Layout (CLL) drawing
- Lead the Product Specialists in the development of preliminary eQPS job instruction sheets
- Assist the LPWR Leader to review the equipment documentation and the technical training materials
- Assist the Tooling & Facilities Engineer with coordinating plant participation in the tooling vendor design reviews and equipment buyoffs
- Deliver the Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) and FTPM strategies for the Final Chassis Area.
- Lead the Tooling & Equipment Specialists to establish maintenance schedules and spare parts requirements with input from the Paint Area Maintenance Department.
- Serve as the main interface between the launch team and the zone supervisors
- Validate Allocation Planning Tool (APT) work element allocations and validate workstation capability
- Identify and classify all base, difficult and critical jobs in the Final Chassis area
- Develop final eQPS and job instruction sheets
- Develop a comprehensive plan with the LPWR Leader to train and certify all direct and indirect employees on their job elements. Maintain training and versatility charts for all employees within the Final Chassis Area.
- Support the 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift/crew build and training requirements.

**QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE**
