**NAME OF THE ROLE: SENIOR INVESTMENT CONSULTANT**

**(CAPE TOWN)**

**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Keep abreast of the regulatory & economic environment as it impacts client portfolios.
- Keen understanding of the asset manager landscape.
- Comfortable presenting to institutional clients.
- Actively participate in team discussions and investment decision-making.
- Run quantitative and qualitative analyses on client portfolios.
- Assess the impact and implementation of market or regulatory changes on client portfolios.
- Ability to support fellow investment consultants in ensuring that clients are adequately serviced.
- Technical excellence in servicing corporate clients.
- Embodying principles of Treating Customers Fairly.
- Facilitating and coordinating work between internal departments.
- Self-development.
- Ensure that standard procedures and best practices are maintained and adhered to.
- Risk awareness and the management of these risks.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CORE COMPETENCIES**:

- Knowledge of investment products/asset classes and the wider investment services industry.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Systems knowledge and experience advantageous (Morningstar, Iress).
- Self-starter.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Cultivate innovation by creating new and better ways for the organisation to be successful.
- Client focus - building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Drives results - consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Relevant bachelor’s degree -majoring in Finance, Economics or Actuarial Science.
- CAIA, CFM, M.Com. advantageous.
- FAIS Accreditation / RE5 advantageous.
- Multi-lingual advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years investment consulting / multi-manager research experience.
- Excellent presentation skills honed in a consulting / multi-manager environment.
- Own transportation for traveling to clients as necessary.
